Future Tech 2024: Cross the streams for Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Analytics – Sander van de Velde

Unfortunately, we were unable to change the problems with the sound during the complete session due to technical difficulties. We apologize for any inconvenience. Microsoft Fabric offers many new ways of engineering data in an integrated cloud platform. This is presented as an ideal solution for self-service data engineering. Next to batch processing, this SaaS platform includes Real-Time Analytics where continuous flows of TimeSeries data can be ingested, queried, and turned into actions. This is no longer the domain of IoT, every data engineer will encounter streams of data to manage. Crossing the streams adds value! Attendees will learn how to set up real-time data stream ingestion and process messages for filtering, aggregation, transformation, etc. Storage of time-series data and querying using KQL, adding value to the raw data is demonstrated. Activating your data into automatic notifications, based on basic rules is also covered. Relevant topics like current limitations and impact on the Fabric capacity will be discussed too. Expect a demo-packed presentation for both data engineers and IoT developers.
