Full title: Securing and migrating older projects to newer technologies Every year innovative technologies and frameworks are emerging in the Information Technology industry. Additionally, security is becoming a vital requirement and new precautions need to be taken to safeguard personal data and protect users from cyber-attacks in applications. Applying new security measures and using new frameworks and technologies is ‘easy’ when building a new application, but what happens with already established applications? It is often not feasible, in terms of time and money, to rebuild a whole application on recent technology. We believe that we can extend the lifetime of an application by slowly, and steadily securing the application in parts, and migrating the most critical ones in stages. In this session we will discuss the steps we’ve taken to keep our application UpToDate.
